Kevin Koonce Earns Certified Association Executive Credential

By | June 2016

The Vinyl Institute’s Kevin Koonce has been awarded the certified association executive (CAE) designation, the highest professional credential in the association industry.

Koonce, who is VI’s vice president of government affairs and the executive director of the Vinyl Building Council, achieved the designation after completing 100 hours of specialized professional development and passing an exam in association management. He also holds over three years of experience with nonprofit organization management, another requirement for CAE designation.

Koonce leads the VI’s state and federal advocacy efforts and sets strategic direction for the Vinyl Building Council.

The CAE designation is awarded by the American Society of Association Executives, a membership organization of more than 21,000 association executives and industry partners representing 9,300 organizations. Its members manage leading trade associations, individual membership societies and voluntary organizations across the United States and in nearly 50 countries around the world.
