Learn What’s on Tap for Water – Hear Rep. Graves Speak
Come to Washington and hear firsthand from the man in charge of water infrastructure in the U.S. House of Representatives.
As part of the Vinyl Industry Congressional Fly-In, participants will get the chance to talk with several Washington insiders about the congressional agenda, regulatory activities, and what we might expect from the new administration.
One of those people is Congressman Garret Graves (R-LA).
House Water Resources Subcommittee chair to speak to vinyl insiders.
Representative Graves serves as the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Water Resources and the Environment. His committee oversees water resources development and regulatory programs –notably those administered by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Environmental Protection Agency. Graves will talk to vinyl insiders about his goals from the subcommittee and where he sees water issues (and PVC pipe) fitting into the broader push for funding to restore America’s crumbling infrastructure.
Graves, who also serves on the House Natural Resources Committee, has more than 20 years of experience working on water resources issues. Combining policy expertise with private sector know-how, Graves is known in Congress for seeking to rein in burdensome regulations and return decision making to the local level.
Now’s the perfect time to attend a vinyl industry fly-in.
While much of the focus has been on congressional leadership (and the new president), the changing of the guard doesn’t just affect top-down policy. New leaders bring with them both new priorities and new staff. The Congressional Fly-In offers an opportunity not only to catch up with your elected officials but also to meet and educate their staffs on the critical issues affected the industry and your business.
