Nov 2016

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) has released a comprehensive study that puts numbers to the recent regulations coming from the Obama administration:

  • 411 million hours of paperwork
  • 155,700 lost jobs
  • $81.6 billion in compliance costs

Key Findings:

  • The pace of labor rulemaking in the waning months of the Obama presidency will easily exceed that of the previous three 2-term presidencies.
  • On average, the Obama administration’s Department of Labor (DOL) has finalized nearly twice as many major labor regulations per year than the previous four administrations.
