Trump Signs Executive Orders to Advance Keystone, Dakota Access Pipelines
President Trump has signed executive orders to fast-track the Keystone and Dakota Access pipelines. Both pipelines would bring oil from shale reserves in Alberta and North Dakota to refineries in Illinois and Texas. The order is meant to revives Keystone speed up the environmental review of the Dakota Access pipeline that the Obama administration ordered last December.
Jay Timmons, president and CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers praised the order, saying it would provide more jobs and security for manufacturers.
"Here's the bottom line, folks: Today is a huge and long-awaited victory," Timmons said. "This is good for workers. It's good for manufacturers. It's good for our economy."
