New Sustainability Manager Joins the Vinyl Institute Team

Jennifer Armstrong, a skilled sustainability professional with a degree in environmental studies, joins the Vinyl Institute as the new Sustainability Manager. In her role, she will provide hands-on support in managing the +Vantage Vinyl industry sustainability initiative and assistance growing VSC membership. Additionally, she will be responsible for organizing and continuously improving information pertaining to industry sustainability data and will assist the communication team with creating and refining sustainability messaging. Jen fills an existing staff vacancy on the Vinyl Institute team.

Prior to joining VI, Armstrong served in a variety of roles for TechnoServe, a nonprofit that develops business solutions to poverty by linking people to information, capital and markets. At TechnoServe, she led the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning for all sustainability data obtained for nearly 400 process audits completed each year for large international coffee buyers. Jennifer was responsible for helping projects meet their key performance indicators and deliverables in Social Responsibility & Ethics, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Responsibility, and Economic Transparency.

Armstrong is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and holds a Masters of Science in Disaster, Adaptation and Development from King’s College London. She has lived in China, Ethiopia, Rwanda and the UK and really enjoys traveling whenever possible. Please join us in welcoming Jen to the team!
