Ohio-Headquartered Polymer Producer Launches Service to Assist Companies in COVID-19 Relief Efforts

By | April 2020

As the fight against COVID-19 rages on, more and more companies are stepping forward to offer relief efforts, from donating medical supplies to retooling operations so they create a product normally outside their wheelhouse.

To assist companies who want to get involved but may not have the creative or operational expertise necessary, GEON Performance Solutions, a leader in the formulation, development and manufacture of performance polymer solutions, has launched Project Collaboration. This service offers the opportunity for companies to take advantage of the intellectual and manufacturing know-how of the GEON workforce to support the fight against the pandemic.

The goal of this service is to connect small and mid-sized companies that need solutions to a COVID-19 manufacturing issue, including:

  • Issues meeting demand;
  • Barriers getting virus-related products to market;
  • Or that have ideas to fight the pandemic but limited resources to implement them.

The hotline will act as a matchmaker and solution provider to help expand capacity, source necessary parts, and get products to market.

“There are companies out there with great ideas but limited know-how to manage one or more aspects of the design, development, manufacturing or distribution process,” said Larry Shaw, GEON Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. “We hope these companies will contact us so we can share our expertise and collaborate to make their idea a reality.”

For the next 90 days, GEON will offer its expertise, at no cost. To get in touch, visit geon.com/project-collaboration or call 1-800-Get-GEON to speak with a team member.

“Our team wants to do its part to support our communities in this time of dire need,” said GEON CEO Tracy Garrison. “Through Project Collaboration, we hope businesses can develop products more quickly and get them into the hands of those who need them most.”
