VI Calls for Renewed Investments in Infrastructure

By | February 2019

The Vinyl Institute is calling on Congress to support legislation this year that would address the large and growing deficit in infrastructure investments.  As part of the Infrastructure Working Group, VI joined over 150 industry groups in a letter sent to leaders of both the House and Senate.

“As this challenge persists and worsens, we encourage you to develop and advance a bipartisan infrastructure investment package that will improve the safety, reliability and efficiency of our nation’s infrastructure,” the letter read.  “Substantial and long-term investments in all kinds of infrastructure are needed to expand our economy, grow jobs and compete globally.”

The coalition challenged Congress to find bipartisan solutions to the nation’s infrastructure challenges, including increasing direct federal investments, fixing the Highway Trust Fund, and public-private partnerships to leverage more funding, among others.
