Vinyl Institute Supports Nomination of Doug M. Troutman to Lead EPA’s Chemical Safety Office
WASHINGTON, D.C., October 8, 2025 – The Vinyl Institute (VI), a U.S. trade association representing the leading manufacturers of vinyl, today voiced support for the nomination of Doug M. Troutman to serve as Assistant Administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP).
“Doug Troutman’s deep regulatory expertise makes him the right choice to advance public health, innovation, and environmental stewardship,” said Ned Monroe, president and CEO of the VI. “Under Troutman’s leadership, the VI and our members will continue to collaborate with EPA to support science-based solutions that protect both American workers and our environment.”
The VI joined a coalition of over 50 national trade associations representing American manufacturers and downstream industries in a letter to the U.S. Senate supporting Troutman’s nomination.
